A Fairmont native, Cathy Bonnstetter has worked as a general assignment and beat reporter. She has also freelanced for state and national publications. She is now a stringer for the State Journal, a business publication.

She has taught media writing for several semesters and particularly enjoys seeing her students go from good writers to professional writers.
