Gloria Ruane currently teaches copyediting and page design at the WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism, where she has taught as an adjunct since 1995. In addition to these courses, she also has taught basic journalism writing courses.

Ruane has been a journalist for 27 years, starting her career as a newspaper reporter at the Herald-Standard in Uniontown, Pa.. She worked as a features editor, Sunday editor and managing editor before joining the Tribune-Review in Greensburg, Pa., where she has served as news editor and now city editor.
