Peter J. Cameon grew up in Monongah, W.Va., and is a graduate of North Marion High School. He has both an undergraduate and master’s degree from West Virginia University. Cameon teaches PR319, in which students learn to use desktop publishing software and practice writing and layout design for various types of print materials.

Cameon is a technical writer focused on information technology. He has past newspaper writing experience with The Clarksburg Telegram and the Times-West Virginian in Fairmont. He covered local government, business issues and spot news. During that time he also worked as a stringer for The Associated Press. Later, he worked as a writer and editor with WVU’s National Research Center for Coal and Energy.

He lives in Morgantown with his wife, Kim, a public relations and marketing professional. They have one daughter.
