SOJ Students Produce Regular News Program

The award-winning “WVU News” program is produced in a hands-on learning environment at WVU.

Using the latest digital media technology, School of Journalism students report, write, shoot and edit television news stories for the program. They also serve as on-air anchors, producers, directors and technical crew during newscast tapings at WVU’s professional television studios.

A top-three finalist in the Society of Professional Journalists’ 2008 Mark of Excellence Awards, “WVU News” airs statewide on West Virginia Public Television and on Time Warner Cable in North Central West Virginia.
