Brian McQuillen

Brian is a senior sports and adventure media at WVU, while also studying sport and exercise psychology as a minor. Brian is from Cresskill, New Jersey and will graduate from West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media in May 2025.

Sports has always been a passion of Brian as he worked as the Men’s Basketball beat reporter for Mountaineer Playbook in Fall 2024. Brian is currently the Sports Editor of the Daily Athenaeum and also is a sportscaster for U92 The Moose. Covering sports has always been his dream, as he has experience covering several Division I sports such as basketball, swimming, football, baseball, soccer and cross country.

Brian has experience writing, broadcasting, podcasting, and hosting live talk shows. This past summer, he interned with Heartland College Sports covering all Big 12 sports. At the same time, he worked with Sportsnaut, primarily as an NBA reporter. Upon graduating from West Virginia University, Brian dreams of covering the NBA as a multimedia journalist.
