"Mountaineer Playbook" launched in 2021 as the capstone course for the Reed College of Media’s Sports and Adventure Media program. It airs statewide on West Virginia Public Broadcasting and in Morgantown on the Morgantown Public Access Channel.
View the Spring 2025 Cast and Crew"Mountaineer Playbook" is an Emmy-award winning sports magazine show produced by Sports and Adventure Media students at West Virginia University. This week, we take a look at new opportunities for Mountaineers on and off the field, from WVU football’s rising star Cam Vaughn to the grand opening of the Hope Gas Ice Pavilion. We will also look at the Pride of West Virginia’s new state-of-the-art practice facility, the return of a former Mountaineer as diving head coach, and the launch of a new professional wrestling league that features multiple WVU athletes. Plus, the episode explores player safety with Guardian Caps in high school football. Finally, we go on an adventure to Gauley Fest, one of the nation’s premier whitewater events.
