"Mountaineer Playbook" launched in 2021 as the capstone course for the Reed College of Media’s Sports and Adventure Media program. It airs statewide on West Virginia Public Broadcasting, in Morgantown on the Morgantown Public Access Channel, and can be streamed on Pittsburgh's KDKA-TV.
View the Fall 2026 Cast and CrewMountaineer Playbook is an Emmy Award-winning sports magazine show produced by sports and adventure media students at West Virginia University. This week's episode explores senior running back Cam Cook's impact on the Mountaineers' ground game after leading the nation in rushing at Jax State, and sophomore wrestler Gunner Andrick's rise from Point Pleasant's all-time wins leader to one of the top freshmen in program history. After that, we look at how WVU students are helping a West Virginia middle school affected by flooding through a sports equipment drive. Finally, we round it out with a look at the WVU Fishing and Women’s Rugby Olivia Rapacchietta’s return as an assistant coach. Watch these stories and more on Mountaineer Playbook.
