WVU News Spring 2025 - Episode 3

WVU News is an Emmy-award winning newscast produced by television journalism students at West Virginia University. This week’s episode explores Senate Bill 460 which, if implemented, would allow for religious and philosophical exemptions to the state's vaccine requirements for school-aged children. Another health story in the episode covers the high rates the flu virus is reaching and why healthcare professionals are urging people to get a flu shot. The episode also covers stories impacting the community, like how residents in Southern West Virginia are recovering from the recent floods and the struggles small businesses are facing as wages stagnate.
