WVU News Spring 2025 - Episode 4

WVU News is an Emmy-award winning newscast produced by television journalism students at West Virginia University. This week’s episode explores several pieces of legislation under consideration by the West Virginia Legislature and problems they've yet to discuss, like closing a $113 million budget gap in the state's public employee health insurance program that will cause premiums to rise by 14% this year. The episode also includes stories reflecting on retiring WVU President Gordon Gee’s career and how international students are adapting to their new life in Morgantown with help from the HomeStart Closet program.
