Madison Ely

Madison is a senior student at WVU majoring in journalism and double minoring in communication studies and political science. She is from Follansbee, West Virginia and plans to graduate in Spring of 2025. During her time at WVU, Madison was a member of The Pride of West Virginia: The Mountaineer Marching Band for two years, a correspondent and staff writer for the Daily Athenaeum, WVU’s student-run newspaper, from May to December of 2024 and belongs to the Honors College at WVU and will graduate as an Honors Foundations Scholar. She has also been on the Dean’s List multiple times, President’s List Spring of 2023 and holds a 3.6 GPA. After graduation, Madison plans to stay local to North Central West Virginia by going into the field of broadcast journalism by becoming a reporter.
