Harley Cochran

Harley Cochran is a junior studying sports and adventure media at West Virginia University. She attended Greater Latrobe Senior High School where she was introduced to her love of broadcasting and journalism starting as early as her freshman year. 

As a part of WCAT-TV she gained experience reporting, producing and editing news content. Harley was also the Editor-in-chief of her high school’s student newspaper, The High Post where she published numerous print newspapers on behalf of the student body. During her senior year, she worked as a production assistant for The Wildcats Network. 

While at WVU, she works for U92 as their Operations Director where she manages all promotional content and digital aspects of the station. Harley also works for WVU Athletics video and ESPN+ where she is training in multiple roles such as utility, camera operator and other control room-based jobs.  She has a cumulative 4.0 gpa and has made the president’s list the past five semesters. She previously took Mountaineer Playbook where she was the associate producer and rifle beat reporter. After graduation, she aspires to become an executive producer for a broadcasting company.
