Sierra Worden
Sierra is a graduate student at West Virginia University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism. She received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in Fashion Merchandising in the Spring of 2024. A Charleston, West Virginia native, Sierra is set to graduate in Spring 2026.
Passionate about building meaningful digital connections, Sierra aspires to pursue a career in social media management. She recently completed a three year communications internship with the West Virginia Office of Technology, playing a key role in developing the agency’s brand voice across social media platforms and the agency’s quarterly newsletter. Looking at Sierra’s academic career, she has has a wide variety of involvement: she was the Editor-in-Chief for Mirage Magazine, Secretary for National Association of Black Journalists, Blog Coordinator for Public Relations Student Society of America and the Communications Coordinator for Student Government Association.
When Sierra is not creating digital content for her Graduate Assistantship with Student Engagement and Leadership, she finds herself enjoying time with her family and friends, thrifting, painting and making videos on TikTok.
Fun Fact: I am 18 years older than my little sister!
