James Bickom
Fun Fact: I am a huge Mets fan who hopes to one day work for the team’s broadcast.
James Bickom is a junior sports and adventure media major from Bellmore, New York.
James also minors in history. During James’ time at WVU, he has been involved in covering
games as a part of Mountaineer Video Productions and ESPN+, where he works as a replay
operator and a graphics operator. In this experience, James has not only learned how to do
several jobs on a live sports production, but he has also gained experience and problem-solving
skills for when faced with challenges while covering an event. When he graduates in the winter
of 2026, James hopes to find a job covering live sports. James’ career goal is to be able to work
in live sports, covering MLB games.
