Maggie Pibal

Fun Fact: I interned at the 2025 Indy 500!
Maggie Pibal is an enthusiastic and creative student in the Sports and Adventure Media program at West Virginia University, with a minor in Addiction Studies. Born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area, Maggie grew up immersed in a highly active, sports-centered environment that shaped both her competitive drive and appreciation for athletics. Seeking expanded opportunities within the sports media landscape, Maggie decided to move to the East Coast to pursue her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University, an experience that has been both thrilling and eye-opening, allowing her to grow personally and professionally.

She brings a collaborative mindset and a strong ability to see the big picture, enabling her to understand and contribute meaningfully to the broader sports media complex. From riding horses competitively on the A circuit to growing up in a family deeply involved in football, surfing, and fly fishing, she has been raised with a drive to win and a lifelong love for sport. Alongside this passion, her academic focus in addiction studies has fostered a commitment to harm reduction, encouraging her to thoughtfully integrate both athletics and advocacy into her work and daily life.

Following her time at West Virginia University, she will be relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, to pursue a Master of Legal Studies with an emphasis in Sports Law at Arizona State University. Maggie is eager to continue expanding her knowledge and experience at the intersection of sports, media, and law as I work toward a meaningful and impactful career in the sports industry.
