Jackie Guenther

Jackie is a senior at West Virginia University, pursuing two Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Spanish. Hailing from a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, Jackie is set to graduate in May 2025 from both the Reed School of Media and Communications and the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. 

Passionate about serving her community, Jackie aims to carve out a career in anchoring and or reporting. She recently completed a summer internship with Hearst-owned WTAE Pittsburgh’s Action 4 News and a fall internship with the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network. 

Outside of her professional pursuits, Jackie enjoys skiing with friends and family, cooking, baking, shopping, and working at her local dog grooming salon. Last semester, she was honored to be selected as a co-anchor for Mountaineer Playbook, WVU’s Emmy-nominated sports program. Jackie is fueled by a deep passion to anchor for a top 3 market or become a reporter for an NHL Hockey team.
