Wow. Here we are. The final show. This entire semester went by in an absolute blur. It seems like it was just yesterday that we were auditioning for our roles. Many memories were made during this time, from the late hours editing, shooting at different venues and being able to tell unique stories in a variety of sports. 

The show must go on… so they say. After about an hour of technical difficulties we had to postpone taping our special edition show to a later date. It was a little disappointing but that’s what happens sometimes and this industry you sometime have to roll with the punches.

The third newscast is complete! I have to start by saying how thankful I am to be a part of such a dedicated and hardworking news team. The morning of our show, we got hit with a snow storm. If you know Morgantown, it’s hill after hill after hill. A few of our team members couldn’t drive because the roads were so slick but those who could managed to get everyone there, except the most important of them all, Professor Dahlia! 

Finally. That’s all I could think about before our second newscast. I was finally going to anchor my first show. It felt like I had been watching for years (which isn’t too far from the truth) and I was itching to finally be on set.

This is my second semester with WVU News and I cannot be more excited! I auditioned for main anchor and landed the roll. I worked with an awesome team and had an all around great experience. This semester I auditioned for sports. I decided to take on sports to have a full year of reporting and a different experience at the same time.
